On our recent visit to the Blue Ridge Parkway, we made an afternoon stop at Ravens Roost Overlook, in anticipation of returning that evening for a sunset.

As I positioned myself for a view of the well-known tree at the overlook, a young man stepped up to the tree, and right into the shot. A moment later, he turned, realized what he had done, and politely apologized for photobombing me. I told him no apology was needed, as I was delighted with the result!

Ravens Roost Overlook is one of the places we’ll stop on our Shenandoah / Blue Ridge Parkway Workshop in August.
