It is always interesting to spend Christmas with the grandchildren and to not end up with family snaps that could have been taken from the hip (so to speak). On Christmas Eve this year, our daughter and son-in-law let their children open their stockings, while the other gifts would await Christmas morning.

After opening her stocking, my four year old granddaughter looked pensively at her gifts, and that is the moment when I caught her. I’m pleased with the outcome, but then again, I’m her grandfather. :-)
